“Elen” occupies an area of 20 000 Ha on the territory of the former Hunting reserves Etropole and Cherni Vit. For long years now there has been a very good population of red deer all along the Central Balkan. One can see fallen antlers weighting 6-7 kg each. The first big deer in Bulgaria was shot in Etropole back in 1962 and it was rated above 244 CIC points.
A red deer weighting 16,6 kg was shot here in 1996 rating 253 CIC points. That trophy is now part of the Elen Hunting Residence collection. In order to refresh their blood, a lot of red deer and does were imported here from the elite hunting reserves “Voden” and “Iri Hyssar”, in Northern Bulgaria. Previous Red Deer world records were shot in that region.
The “Elen” hunting reserve has qualified experts, who look after the game and perform its precise selection. Proof of the latter are the good trophy mouflon, fallow deer, alpine ibex and wild boar.
5 red stags valued over 244 p. were taken here in 2004 as well as 3 red stags - above 250 CIC p.
Welcome to Bulgaria and Good luck in “ELEN”!
