Itinerary
Day 1 Transfer Sofia – Rila Monastery - located in the heart of Rila Mountains. It is the most famous monument of Bulgarian culture, spiritual centre of Bulgarians for more than 10 centuries. The icons, iconostasis and murals are samples of the outstanding Bulgarian renaissance art schools from the National Revival period. The interior is a beautiful interlace of colonnade arches, wooden staircases and verandas. The museum keeps a rich collection of books, manuscripts and icons.
Transfer Rila Monastery – Bansko. Bansko is among those Bulgarian towns which fate had destined to play a noteworthy role in the historic development of our nation, especially during the colossal national upsurge during the Revival Period. Its achievements cannot be touched by the relentless passage of time. They lie in the unique houses of Bansko citizens. All houses impress with their tall pinewood gates and carved-wood ceilings, with the architecture and the fine iconostasis of churches. Here Past and Present are interwoven in a way that is at once distinctive and original. Bansko is a town of notable past, honourable present and stable future that brought through the centuries, preserved and developed the unique and ever-seeking spirit of Bulgarians.

Day 2 Breakfast. Time at leisure in Bansko or half day trekking tour in the UNESCO listed Pirin National Park.
Transfer Bansko – Trigrad. The remains found in the cave dwellings from the copper-stone age as well as from the Thracian period, shows the old origin of the village. Here in Trigrad you can see a Christian Church and a Muslim Mosque built side by side. The Christian and Muslim culture and traditions have become interwoven within the village, insuring that visitors will have a unique experience.
Botanical trail offers unique opportunity to the visitors to learn more about the interesting flora of the protected site Trigrad gorge.
You can join an optional visit of the Yagodinska Cave and the famous Devil’s Gorge cave. For good fitted tourists, it takes 2 hours from Trigrad to Yagodina cave following the eco track. Transfer Trigrad – Devin. Devin is situated on the two banks of Devinska River, in a small hilly valley. The town is mostly famous for its mineral springs known from ancient times.

Day 3 Breakfast. Free at leisure at the modern spa centre of Devin Hotel. Enjoy the mineral water swimming pool; relax taking a steam bath or sauna. One of the irresistible temptations of the Rhodopes is the wonderful cuisine and the robust red wines. Known for their hospitality, Rhodopeans will welcome you to their homes as dearest guests and will serve you delicious specialties: patatnik made of grated potatoes, eggs, onions and spices, and is baked in a frying pan., kachamak - served in a large baking tin, with melted butter poured and fried meat/bacon, cheese or curds on top, katmi - one of the favorite local specialties, prepared from thin batter, yogurt and eggs., klin. We suggest an extremely favorable walking, which we believe will give you new strength and energy.
Transfer to Sofia passing the picturesque valley of Vacha river, along the beautiful Vacha lake. End of services.
